Projects

Students and faculty in the College of Communication and Information are highly encouraged to take advantage of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Social Studio for research projects. According to Salesforce, social data are acquired legitimately, appropriately and securely. All sources are accessed in compliance with the social media source’s terms and conditions and user agreements established. The data collected are secure and adhere to Salesforce TRUST standards to all sources and customer records.

Researchers will most likely develop projects using the Analyze function of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, whereby large social media data sets can be monitored, downloaded and/or exported for future use. Given the sophistication of Social Studio as a research tool, administration in the College of Communication and Information and the executive director of the Adam Brown Social Media Command Center worked together with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Tennessee to make the process easy and seamless

The flagship campus of the University of Tennessee System and partner in the Tennessee Transfer Pathway.
